NASHVILLE – Tennessee Gov. The company confirmed today an investment of $26.6 million in new production equipment to serve the needs of the North American commercial truck market.

Auto Supplier to Invest $22 Million, Create 126 New Jobs Over Five Years

NASHVILLE — Tennessee Gov. Bill Haslam and Economic and Community Development Commissioner Bill Hagerty today joined with Lauderdale County officials in announcing the decision by Quaprotek USA to locate a manufacturing facility for the production of metal parts for vehicles, engines and power trains in Ripley, Tenn. The German-based company will invest $22 million to fit out a 63,000 square foot existing building on Highland Street in Ripley, creating 126 jobs over a five year period to supply leading manufacturers within the automotive industry.

CPVC Pipe Manufacturer to Move Facility from Alabama to Pulaski, Tenn.

NASHVILLE – Tennessee Gov. Bill Haslam and Economic and Community Development Commissioner Bill Hagerty joined representatives from Spears Coastline Plastic LLC today to announce the company’s purchase of the New Tech Color Additives building in the Pulaski/Giles County Industrial Park. Spears Coastline Plastic is a leading manufacturer of Chlorinated Polyvinyl Chloride (CPVC) pipe for fire protection, plumbing and industrial market applications and will be transferring its Ardmore, Ala.-based manufacturing facility to the Pulaski facility over the next few months, bringing 25 jobs to the region, with the intent to add 25 more within a five year period.

NASHVILLE – Tennessee Gov. Bill Haslam and Economic and Community Development Commissioner Bill Hagerty today congratulated officials from ThyssenKrupp Waupaca, Inc. on their decision to reopen the company’s Etowah, Tenn. iron foundry in the first quarter of 2012. As a result, 250 employees will be hired to restart production at the facility.
