The GATE recognition honors large, medium and small-size companies who have achieved excellence in engaging in global trade. The winners will be presented their award at the 58th Annual Governor’s Conference on Economic and Community Development on Friday, Sept. 23, during the Governor’s Luncheon.

Manufacturer to Invest $1 Million, Create 60 Jobs over Three Years

NASHVILLE — Tennessee Gov. Bill Haslam and Economic and Community Development Commissioner Bill Hagerty today joined with local officials in welcoming Marathon Heater, Inc. to Brownville, Tenn. The company’s $1 million investment will create 60 jobs during the next three years. Marathon Heater is a leading manufacturer of industrial-grade heating elements and temperature sensors.

Company to Invest $16 Million, Create 263 Jobs in Franklin

Bill Haslam and Economic and Community Development Commissioner Bill Hagerty today joined with representatives from MedSolutions to announce plans by the company to expand its corporate headquarters in Franklin. The company will invest $16 million and create 263 jobs over a three year period.

35 Jobs Retained, Projected Capital Investment of Nearly $1 Million

NASHVILLE – Tennessee Gov. Bill Haslam and Economic and Community Development Commissioner Bill Hagerty today joined with company officials to announce Triad Packaging is adding 25 new jobs to its Bristol, Tenn. headquarters while retaining 35 current positions. Triad Packaging will invest nearly $1 million to consolidate manufacturing operations into its Bristol facility.

Create Nearly 550 Jobs in Alcoa

NASHVILLE – Tennessee Gov. Bill Haslam, Economic and Community Development Commissioner Bill Hagerty and Blount County officials today joined with representatives from TeamHealth to announce plans by the company to expand its corporate operations by leasing a new facility to be constructed at Base Pointe Business Park in Alcoa, Tenn. The project developers will invest nearly $18 million and create 160 full-time jobs, with the anticipation of growing to 550 jobs in management, accounting, medical coding, billing and clerical.
