ANDERSON COUNTY, I-75 South near Mile Marker 118.5: On Thursday night, July 14, 2011, motorists should be alert for a temporary lane closure in this area between the hours of 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. the following morning as crews perform cable rail repairs. Motorists should be alert for workers present and use extreme caution in this area.
 
(Recovery Act Project) ANDERSON COUNTY, SR 61 Bridge over Poplar Creek in Oliver Springs: Motorists should use caution through this bridge widening project. 
 
BLOUNT COUNTY, TN-73 Scenic (East Lamar Alexander Parkway) at Stables Drive in Townsend:East Lamar Alexander Parkway (TN 73-Scenic) at Stables Drive, near the entrance to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, in Townsend will be reduced to one lane controlled by a temporary traffic signal at various times for the bridge construction project on Stables Drive. Traffic on Stables Drive is also being controlled by a temporary traffic signal. Two travel lanes will be open on Scenic 73 during periods when the contractor is not present and during times when work activities are being performed on the opposite side of the Little River that do not require additional space alongside the roadway. The temporary traffic signals that are currently in place will be set to a cautionary flash during times that both lanes are available for travel. When the lane restriction is in place, the traffic signals will be activated to control the traffic movement one direction at a time. Motorists in this area should be alert for changing conditions, expect potential delays and use extreme caution in this area.

BRADLEY COUNTY, SR-60 (Dalton Pike) road widening from near Gilliland Road to U.S. 64 (SR-311): The contractor will be clearing, relocating utilities, and building substructures and will use a flagging operation to navigate construction equipment through the project. Estimated project completion date is June 2012. 

BRADLEY COUNTY, SR-60 construction of two concrete box bridges over Greasy Creek (LM 21.02) and Branch Creek (LM 24.28) including grading, drainage and paving: The contractor is constructing two new box bridges on SR-60. Road work will begin on Georgetown end of project. Traffic flow should have minimal interruptions. Utility work will be taking place on the Hopewell end of the project right-of-way throughout the week. Estimated project completion date is April 2012.

REGION 3 On-Call Guardrail:Thursday July 7 through Wednesday July 13, 8PM-6AM, There will be one lane closures at various locations on interstates and state routes in Davidson, Smith, Sumner, Hickman, Humphreys, Robertson, Williamson, and Rutherford Counties for guardrail and attenuator repair.

REGION 3, On-Call Cable Barrier Repair: Thursday July 7 through Wednesday July 13, 8PM-6AM, There will be one lane closures at various locations on interstate and state routes in order to repair cable barrier rail.

REGION 3, TDOT Maintenance:
  • Thursday July 7 through Wednesday July 13, 9AM-3PM, There will be possible lane closures at various locations on State Routes and Interstates in Middle Tennessee to patch potholes and for ditch cleaning.
  • Thursday July 7 through Wednesday July 13, 9AM-3PM, and 7PM-1AM, There will be mobile operations in various locations in Middle Tennessee for vegetation control and shoulder work. This will affect the shoulders or inside and outside lanes.
