DAVIDSON COUNTY, I-440 Eastbound from I-65 to I-24

  • Sunday February 3, 7AM-1PM, The right lane of I-440 will be closed in order to shift traffic on the Nolensville Rd. eastbound on ramps.  There will be intermittent lane closures required on the ramps.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Bridge Construction on Gallatin Rd. over the CSX Railroad

  • From now through March 2013, Gallatin Rd. will be reduced to one lane in each direction in this area.

East Tennessee Construction Report for January 24-31, 2013

BLOUNT COUNTY, US 411/ SR 35 between S. Washington Street and Wilcox Street: SR 35 Eastbound is closed to thru traffic and detoured around this widening project. Eastbound motorists should follow posted detour route.  SR 35 Westbound will remain open and motorists should be alert for possible traffic shifts in this direction.  Motorists should be alert for workers present and use extreme caution in this area.

BRADLEY COUNTY, SR-60 (Dalton Pike) road widening from near Gilliland Road to U.S. 64 (SR-311):  SR-60 (Dalton Pike) is undergoing major reconstruction.  The existing two-lane highway is being widened to a five-lane highway with sidewalk, curb and gutter on either side.  All driveways and side streets along the 2.7 mile project are being lowered or raised to match the proposed SR-60 grade.  The contractor will continue to pour concrete for sidewalks, driveways, curbs and gutters at various locations along the project.  Minor grading behind sidewalk as well as sod placement is underway.  The contractor has opened traffic throughout the job with one lane in both directions with a

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Repair of the I-24 (Silliman Evans) Bridge over Nashville & Eastern Railroad

  • Thursday January 17 through Wednesday January 23, 9AM-3PM, There will be alternating lane closures on Hermitage Avenue for fence installation.
  • Thursday January 17 through Wednesday January 23, 9AM-3PM, (excluding weekends), There will be shoulder closures on I-24 westbound to pressure wash river pier and apply texture coating and possibly start de-rigging operation.

BENTON COUNTY I-40:  All lanes are open at this time. Work will resume in the Spring of 2013.

Resurfacing beginning east of SR-191 (approximately mile marker 131) and extending to west of the Tennessee River on I-40 near Birdsong Road (approximately mile marker 134) at the Tennessee River Bridge.
