BENTON COUNTY I-40:  All lanes are open at this time. Work will resume in the Spring of 2013. Resurfacing beginning east of SR-191 (approximately mile marker 131) and extending to west of the Tennessee River on I-40 near Birdsong Road (approximately mile marker 134) at the Tennessee River Bridge.

BENTON COUNTY SR-147:  Bridge repair work over Sugar Creek at log mile 0.27 will cause a reduction of lanes in both directions from two lanes to one.  There will be an 11’ width restriction throughout the duration of the project.  Closures will be handled by a temporary traffic signal.

CHESTER COUNTY SR-22:  Bridge repair work will cause State Route 22 at log mile 3.91 to be reduced to one lane over Middleton Creek.  A signal system has been installed to direct traffic until bridge repairs are complete,

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. –TDOT bridge inspectors will perform their regular quarterly testing and inspection on the Market Street Bridge in downtown Chattanooga on Sunday, February 24, 2013.  Beginning at 8:00 a.m. EST the bridge will be closed to traffic as crews conduct the inspection and open the drawbridge portion of the bridge.  Due to the unfortunate electrical problems encountered during the last attempted inspection, this inspection may take longer than usual.  The bridge should be reopened to traffic no later than 2:00 p.m. EST.

BRADLEY COUNTY, SR-60 (Dalton Pike) road widening from near Gilliland Road to U.S. 64 (SR-311):  SR-60 (Dalton Pike) is undergoing major reconstruction.  The existing two-lane highway is being widened to a five-lane highway with sidewalk, curb and gutter on either side.  All driveways and side streets along the 2.7 mile project are being lowered or raised to match the proposed SR-60 grade.  The contractor will continue to pour concrete for sidewalks, driveways, curbs and gutters at various locations along the

• Wednesday February 20 through Wednesday February 27, 10AM-2PM, Traffic will be paced on I-65 northbound and southbound in order to blast just north of Trinity Lane at the I-65 northbound on ramp.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Bridge Construction on Gallatin Rd. over the CSX Railroad

• From now through March 2013, Gallatin Rd. will be reduced to one lane in each direction in this area.

BLOUNT COUNTY, US 411/ SR 35 between S. Washington Street and Wilcox Street: Motorists should be alert for changing conditions in this area. SR 35 Eastbound is closed to thru traffic and detoured around this widening project. Eastbound motorists should follow posted detour route.  SR 35 Westbound will remain open and motorists should be alert for possible traffic shifts in this direction.  Motorists should be alert for workers present and use extreme caution in this area.

ANDERSON COUNTY, I-75 South near Mile Marker 120 and I-75 North near Mile Marker 122: On Monday, February 18, 2013 through Wednesday, February 20, 2013, motorists should be alert for a possible lane closure between the hours of 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. the following morning as crews repair cable rail.  Motorists should be alert for workers present and use extreme caution in this area.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – On Friday, February 8, the Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) reopened the second lane of northbound traffic on Alcoa Highway (US 129) in Knox County.  One lane had been closed since a rockslide occurred near Woodson Road on January 15.
