ANDERSON COUNTY, US 25W/SR 61 Bridge over the Clinch River in Clinton: The US 25W Bridge over the Clinch River in Clinton is reduced to one lane in each direction around the clock as crews perform bridge repairs.  Motorists should be alert for traffic shifts, narrowed lanes, workers present and use extreme caution in this area.  Motorists in this area should expect potential delays during peak travel hours.

BRADLEY COUNTY, SR-60 (Dalton Pike) road widening from near Gilliland Road to U.S. 64 (SR-311):  The reconstruction project on SR-60 (Dalton Pike) is nearing completion.  The existing two-lane highway has been widened to a five-lane highway with sidewalk, curb and gutter on either side.  Final paving and pavement marking is slated to take place beginning in mid-April and should be completed by early May.  A new signal mast arm pole is on order for an adjustment to the existing signal pole at the intersection of the APD-40 Bypass and McGrady Drive.  Due to nationwide demand and fabrication issues at the supplier, the delivery date of this metal pole is not expected until late May/early

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Widening of I-65 from Trinity Lane to Dickerson Rd.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, I-440 Eastbound from I-65 to I-24

  • No lane closures this week.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Bridge Construction on Gallatin Rd. over the CSX Railroad

  • From now through March 2013, Gallatin Rd. will be reduced to one lane in each direction in this area.
  • Thursday April 18 through Wednesday April 24, 9AM-3PM, There will be a one lane closure on One Mile Pkwy. in order to perform storm drain work.

West Tennessee Construction April 17-24, 2013

BENTON COUNTY I-40:  All lanes are open at this time.  Work will resume in the Spring of 2013.
Resurfacing beginning east of SR-191 (approximately mile marker 131) and extending to west of the Tennessee River on I-40 near Birdsong Road (approximately mile marker 134) at the Tennessee River Bridge.

BENTON COUNTY SR-1 (US-70):  Bridge repair work over CSX Railroad will cause traffic to be reduced from two lanes to one (12’ lane) in each direction, with temporary traffic signal, for the duration of this project.

BENTON COUNTY SR-147:  Bridge repair work over Sugar Creek will cause a reduction of lanes in both directions from two lanes to one.  There will be an 11’ width restriction throughout the duration of the project.  Closures will be handled by a temporary traffic signal.

CHESTER COUNTY SR-22:  Bridge repair work will cause State Route 22 is reduced to one lane over Middleton Creek.  A signal system has been installed to direct traffic until bridge repairs are complete,

CROCKETT/GIBSON COUNTY SR-188:  Construction of five (5) concrete box beam bridges on State Route 188 over overflows in Crockett County and in Gibson County.  Roadway is CLOSED. Detour route is posted.

SR 16 in Franklin County to Remain Closed for Approximately Two More Weeks

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – SR 16 (Rowe Gap Road/Keith Springs Mtn.) in Franklin County will remain closed near log mile 17.7 as clean-up continues from a rockslide that occurred on Monday, March 25, 2013.  Originally it was thought that the roadway could safely be reopened to traffic by April 12, 2013, but unforeseen events have pushed the schedule back by two weeks.

  • Thursday April 11 through Wednesday April 17, 8PM-6AM, (including Saturday and Sunday), The inside lane of I-24 eastbound and westbound will be closed in order to repaint the median barrier wall.

SR 188 at Gibson-Crockett County Line to Close for Bridge Replacement

Jackson, Tenn. – On Thursday, April 11, 2013 a section of SR 188 at the Gibson-Crockett County line will be closed for the replacement of five bridges. The bridges are located in a half mile stretch of SR 188 between Old Trenton Road in Gibson County and Stokes/Elizabeth Road in Crockett County.  The project is expected to be complete by October 31, 2014.
