GATLINBURG, Tenn. – The department of Tourist Development will host the next Sustainable Tourism meeting for the gateway communities of Great Smoky Mountains National Park from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., EST Sept. 24, at the W.L. Mills Conference Center, Tennessee ballroom A.
FRANKLIN, Tenn. – The Tennessee Department of Tourist Development is pleased to announce that the Franklin Gateway Marker will be first in the ground for Tennessee’s Civil War Trails program.
Tennessee Tourism: Reaching Higher Ground
NASHVILLE – The inaugural Great Smoky Mountains Sustainable Tourism Summit will be held April 28 – 29, 2008 at the Knoxville Convention Center in Knoxville, Tenn. The Summit, designed to kick-off and honor the 75th Anniversary of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, is a partnership effort of the states of Tennessee and North Carolina and the National Geographic Center for Sustainable Destinations, The University of Tennessee, the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, and the Tennessee Civil War National Heritage Area.
