Tennessee Department of Safety & Homeland Security Announce Christmas Holiday Enforcement

NASHVILLE ---The Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security today announced a reminder that the Tennessee Highway Patrol will be out in force during the Christmas Holiday period to ensure travelers reach their destination safely. State Troopers will focus their attention on impaired driving and seat belt usage during the holiday, beginning at 12:01 a.m. on Friday, December 21 and ending at midnight on Tuesday, December 25.

Tennessee Highway Patrol Announce Results of "No Refusal" Enforcement & Thanksgiving Holiday Statistics

NASHVILLE ---The Tennessee Highway Patrol today announced that there was one alcohol-related fatality during the 16-county “No Refusal” DUI enforcement effort over the Thanksgiving Holiday period. Additionally, five suspects refused to take a blood alcohol level test and warrants were then obtained for a blood sample under the “No Refusal” law.

THP Inspectional Services Bureau Joins National Internal Affairs Investigators Association

NASHVILLE--- Tennessee Highway Patrol Colonel Tracy Trott today announced that the agency’s Inspectional Services Bureau has joined the National Internal Affairs Investigators Association, Inc. (NIAIA), a nationwide organization created to develop and establish professional standards of performance and integrity for Internal Affairs investigators. This marks the first time ISB has been connected to a national investigators organization.
