New Manufacturing Facility to Create 48 New Jobs

NASHVILLE –Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development Commissioner Bill Hagerty joined with company officials today to announce Imperial Food Services (IFS) will locate a manufacturing plant in Marshall County. This announcement represents an investment of $3 million by the company, and the Lewisburg project, located at the I-65 Commerce Park, will create 48 jobs.

Automotive Components and Systems Manufacturer to Create 50 Jobs in Rhea County

NASHVILLE –Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development Commissioner Bill Hagerty and International Automotive Components representatives announced plans today to grow the company’s Dayton, Tenn. operations, located at 220 IAC Drive.  The growth, which includes a substantial investment in manufacturing equipment, represents $7.7 million and the creation of approximately 50 manufacturing jobs.

Logistics Company to Create 450 Jobs in Chattanooga, 100 Jobs in Knoxville Over Five Years

NASHVILLE – Tennessee Gov. Bill Haslam and Economic and Community Development Commissioner Bill Hagerty along with Access America Transport officials today announced the company will expand its Chattanooga and Knoxville facilities and create 550 jobs during a five year period – 450 additional jobs at the Chattanooga facility and 100 additional jobs at the Knoxville facility.

Biologics Company to Invest $5 Million, Create 44 Jobs in Shelby County

NASHVILLE –Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development Commissioner Bill Hagerty today joined with Bioventus representatives to announce plans to lease new office and manufacturing space off Goodlett Farms Parkway in Memphis, Tenn. at 1900 Charles Bryan Road. The expansion represents an investment of $5 million and the creation of 44 jobs.

Oberto Brands, a national leader in the meat snacks category and maker of the popular Oh Boy, Oberto! jerky line, today announced the company will open a new production facility in Nashville, Tenn. in the first half of 2013, bringing hundreds of jobs to the area. The new facility will join Oberto’s existing production facility at its headquarters in Kent, Wash., and is being added to help keep up with rapidly growing demand for Oberto’s products, which has doubled over the last few years and shows no sign of slowing down.

Grants Assist Communities with Infrastructure Improvements

NASHVILLE – Tennessee Gov. Company to Invest $1.8 Million, Create 26 Additional Jobs in McNairy County

Manufacturer of Critical Components for the Electric Utility Grid Anticipated to Create 250 Jobs

NASHVILLE – Tennessee Governor Bill Haslam and the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development joined with company officials today to announce MacLean Power Systems will locate a manufacturing plant in Gibson County. This announcement represents an investment of $12 million by the company, and the Trenton project, located at 1465 Industrial Park Drive, is anticipated to create 250 jobs.

Recipients to be Recognized at 59th Annual Governor’s Conference

NASHVILLE – The Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development today announced that Colonial Diversified Polymer Products, LLC in Dyersburg and Global Industrial Components, Inc. in Woodbury are recipients of the Governor’s Award for Trade Excellence. The GATE Award honors large and small-size companies who have achieved excellence in engaging in global trade. The winners will be presented their award on Friday, Oct. 19, at the 59th Annual Governor’s Conference on Economic and Community Development during the Governor’s Luncheon.
