The expansion represents an investment of nearly $1.4 million and the creation of 33 manufacturing jobs in Hawkins County.

Trade Mission Focusing on Medical Device Manufacturers, Applications Due Feb. 1

NASHVILLE – The Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development announced today that Commissioner Bill Hagerty will lead ECD’s trade mission to China and South Korea April 15-21, 2012 that will focus on Tennessee’s medical device manufacturers and other health care companies. Applications are available at tn.gov/ecd/tntrade/trademission, along with a video explaining the trade mission. The deadline for companies to apply is Feb. 1. The trade mission is part of the recently announced TNTrade, a new initiative designed to help boost exports by Tennessee’s small- and medium-sized businesses.

The new location represents a multi-million dollar investment and the creation of 25 jobs.

Injection Molding Manufacturer to Create 58 New Jobs in Bedford County

Bill Haslam and Economic and Community Development Commissioner Bill Hagerty today joined with representatives from Century Mold Co., Inc. to announce plans by the company to expand its Shelbyville facility located at 508 Blue Ribbon Parkway. The company will invest $4.2 million and create 58 manufacturing jobs.

Medical Device Manufacturer to Invest $4.8 Million, Create 40 New Jobs Over Five Years

NASHVILLE – Tennessee Gov. Bill Haslam and Economic and Community Development Commissioner Bill Hagerty today joined with officials from Shelby County to announce the decision by Launch Medical to expand in Bartlett, Tenn. The company will invest $4.8 million to fit out an existing building on Wolf Lake Road in Bartlett, creating 40 jobs during a five-year period to manufacture medical device prototypes.
